Beer Dating at The Iron Monkey

You can still register for Monday's Beer Dating event at The Iron Monkey!

Participants will go on 3-minute dates with other Jersey City singles. At each date, a different craft beer sample will be given out. Throughout the course of the evening, we'll be giving you a few breaks in order to reflect on the dates that caught your attention, and to decide who you'd like to get to know better. You'll let us know who you're interested in, and at the end of the night, we'll get all of the matches together!

Gentlemen, this event is only $20, which includes the dates, craft beer, and appetizers.

Three Amazing Charities

During our Iron Monkey Charity event from Feb. 4 – Feb. 10, we’re donating proceeds from all of our Dogfish Head drafts and bottles to three amazing charities. 

- The George F. and Joan D. McIntyre Foundation Scholarship

The George F. and Joan D. McIntyre Foundation Scholarship was started by Brian J. McIntyre, a former student and resident of Collingswood. Mr. McIntyre, a 1976 graduate and successful business owner, is providing these scholarships to give back to the community where he lived and was educated.

A scholarship of $5,000 is awarded to selected candidates for college attendance
and studies. This scholarship has already provided over $300,000 in scholarships. Recipients of the McIntyre Foundation Scholarship must exhibit outstanding characteristics. For more information, visit: http://www.workstrategy.com/community/collingswood.html

- The Ronald E. Carter Memorial Scholarship Fund: A Father’s Legacy

A scholarship for currently enrolled students in a Jersey City Public High School, with a minimum GPA of 2.5, who has been accepted into a four year academic institution. Eligible students are financially needy, are athletes, from single parent homes and that are the first person from the immediate family to attend college.

- Liberty Health Foundation/ Jersey City Medical Center: Behavioral Health Detoxification Program

The Jersey City Medical Center Detoxification Unit began to support individuals with substance abuse issues in 1998.  It is a medically assisted and monitored program, using medication to assist adults addicted to alcohol and/or other drugs in the withdrawal process.

A multi-disciplinary team composed of registered nurses, physicians, and addictions professionals provides confidential counseling, education, and family support seven days a week.

These donations will help provide educational materials for patients and their loved ones.  Additionally, this support will help provide medications for discharged patients with medical issues and an inability to pay.
