New Year's Eve Drafts - Don't Miss Out!

We’re so excited to be tapping four amazing drafts this New Year’s Eve at the Iron Monkey! We’ve been saving these brews for a special occasion, and what’s more special than ringing in 2013? We’ll be tapping at 9:00 PM, and each draft will be sold per glass only.

Here are some of the craft beer industry’s best-loved drafts that we’ll be featuring:

Firestone Walker 16th Anniversary Ale: In 2006, Firestone Walker released a limited-edition oak-aged strong ale called “10” to commemorate the brewery’s 10th anniversary. Firestone Walker has released an anniversary ale every year since. This year’s brew, 16th Anniversary Ale, is one of their best ever. Just read the description that Firestone Walker offers :

“As a finished beer, XVI takes us back to some of the wonderful dark notes (the black keys) that I remember from the original 10 blending. XVI is 42% stout with Velvet Merkin, Parabola and “PNC” working together as three roasty toasty friends that create rich cacao, chocolate and mocha flavors together…. The additional twist this year is Wookey Jack, Black Rye IPA with its wily citrusy hop notes and spicy rye backbone. The finished blend is unfiltered and unfined, so there will be a small amount of sediment in the bottom of the bottle.”

Firestone Walker Parabola: Another great beer from Firestone Walker, Parabola is a Russian Imperial Oatmeal Stout, aged for eight months in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. An aggressive beer, Parabola featured bourbon and tobacco aromas and rich dark chocolate and charred oak flavors.

It’s also another beer with a 100/100 rating on RateBeer: http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/firestone-walker-parabola/60246/

Founders Bolt Cutter: A cellarable barley wine with an ABV of 15%, this brew is dry-hopped with a mountain of Cascade hops and balanced by a malty sweetness and spicy complexity. Barrel-aged, some in bourbon barrels and some in maple syrup-bourbon barrels, this beer was allowed by Founders to mature in bottles and kegs.

St. Bernardus Tokyo: Created to commemorate the opening of the St. Bernardus pub in Tokyo, this unique, single-batch Belgian White is extremely rare. According to St. Bernardus, Tokyo is an intensely cloudy, unspiced, wheat ale brewed with malted wheat. With a citrusy aroma and a solid mouthfeel, Tokyo has an extremely smooth and clean finish.  http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/259/83084
